Hort Update Newsletter Evaluation

Hort Update is a FREE e-mail newsletter from the University of Nebraska- Lincoln Extension, providing timely information to the horticulture industry. Help us improve the quality of this newsletter by answering the following questions, and you will be entered in a drawing to win a copy of "The Well-Tended Perennial Garden" by Tracy DiSabasto-Aust.

The 2006 expanded edition of this comprehensive guide to growing perennials begins with an overview of planting and tending perennial gardens and ends with an encyclopedia of perennials. The heart of the book is a lengthy section on pruning perennials—deadheading, pinching, disbudding, thinning, deadleafing and cutting back are covered—with an emphasis on pruning mid-season to prolong, stagger and encourage repeat bloom, as well as to enhance the shape, size and health of perennials. 384 pgs, 274 color photos, 19 line drawings.

Entries will be accepted from June 1, 2008 through September 30, 2008. A winner will be drawn at random and notified via e-mail. One entry per person.
